Kids Cooking Thursday: Lunch

To be more specific, lots of lunches! I had a bulk pack of 20 rolls, a kilo of luncheon meat roll, and a bunch of zip lock bags. Oh, and a six year old. Perfect ingredients for a production line... just in time for the end of school holidays!

Buttering...

Hamming...

Bagging...

Then Miss Four woke up from the sleep she fell into on the hour long trip home in the hot car, and wanted to help too, so she helped by counting out 7 dried apricots, and bagging them up for playlunches.

So will you freeze these?

Yes. I try to keep one drawer in my freezer full of rolls and sandwiches, and the crisper drawer in the fridge full of bagged snacks like carrot or celery sticks, and dried apricots and sultanas.

When Master Six gets home from school, he gets changed, then packs his lunch box for the next day, before he gets to have afternoon tea.

Miss Four packs her lunch for kinder the next day when she gets home too.

That is fabulous. I love how you are training the kids to be responsible.
